This is where it all starts.

If you are looking for historical accuracy for archival purposes
...don't look here; we are very busy building our dream plane and the web site may lag our progress.
The parent design for this aircraft was the two seat tandem Long-Ez by a brilliant aeronautical engineer, Burt Rutan. This four place design evolved from a three place design that was adapted by Nat Puffer from the Long-Ez. Nat managed to expand this aircraft to four place seating yet retained much of the energy and style of the Long-Ez.
Our version of Nat Puffer's Cozy Mk-IV is highly modified to include a shorter forward opening canopy, a full rollbar integral to the fuselage structure, a 2/3 rear gullwing door, fully retractable main gear, an all glass instrument panel (computerized-vs-steam guages) and a turbocharged EFI two rotor Mazda engine. We do this in the spirit of experimental aviation for education and enjoyment.
Any and all ideas, opinions and work shown on this site are purely a contrivance of our own, we are not aeronautical engineers; follow at your own risk.
If anything on this web site appears to be a recommendation on how to build an aircraft it is an error of writing or editing. This site is our builder's documentation to chronicle the adventure we had in building our Cozy Mk-IV.
